Survival Bunkers

large concrete bunkers offer protection, but come at substantial cost and time.

Are Not Survival Shelters

I' understand the first thought might be to scream, "yes they are", but hear me out as to why.

Survival Bunkers are Hard To Build.

You cannot just walk out of your house, head out into the woods and build yourself a "survival bunker".

Many larger-scale bunkers take months to build and require that you hire a construction crew with multiple trucks and diggers.

Bunkers are Costly

These types of shelters, while marketed for "survival" should be considered second homes or a "Post-Apocalyptic" living.

These bunkers could easily cost you upwards of 50,000 US dollars or substantially more de[ending on how much you are building into the bunker.

Bunkers Plan For Societal Collapse, not Sudden Catastrophe

Large bunkers take time, money, management, logistics and planning, and as such often mean that those who are building the bunker are not entirely at "immediate risk of danger".

This means that the construction crew is not out in the woods build A-Frames so they can sleep at night.

That would be silly when they could bring in a trailer, build your bunker and then leave.

If you have a bunker, tou are also not in the same level of danger as if you get lost in a random national park somewhere in the middle of nowhere.

Home is where the heart is, but shelter is where you stay alive, keep safe, and
remain protected from the environment or danger.

Smaller bunkers can be a lower cost alternative to large survival bunkers

You Can Still Build a Bunker For Survival

Now that you understand the Bunkers are not going to solve "immediate danger", they are an excellent choice *IF* you can plan far ahead for the potential dangers that can eventually happen.

Having access to a large-scale bunker means that you will have a backup plan in the event something drives you away from where you live or into hiding for whatever reason.

These can be hidden depending on your available land and can be set up to be completely off-grid for electricity, water supply, and heat if done properly.

If you are considering getting a bunker for yourself, then you will have to begin by following these guidelines:

Find a Reputable Bunker Company

Look for a reputable bunker construction company in your area or one that will travel.

The company you choose should be a full-service company and should assist every step of planning, regulations, and construction of your new bunker.

Getting a Quality Product

Just because a bunker can be built, doesn't mean it will meet your needs.

Take into account the things that you want in the bunker as it is the money that you are spending.

If you decide that you want to have an underground food storage system, but the vendor does not offer one, ask them if they are willing to incorporate other design improvements, from either you or other companies into the proposed plans.
